AUTOMATE YOUR HIGH-MIX shop floor

Smart Robotic Solutions for Demanding Jobs

Manufacturers and fabricators that support the  architectural industry must navigate the demanding requirements of commercial and residential construction. A primary hurdle is the need for highly customized and often one-off designs, which require flexible production processes to translate unique architectural visions into tangible products such as doors, grilles, and ornamental components. Furthermore, tight project schedules and budgets are the norm, where delays can have cascading effects on an entire construction project.

As companies face increasing pressure to optimize production, address skilled labor shortages, and maintain the highest quality standards, Cohesive Robotics provides smart, automated solutions that meet these challenges head-on.

We specialize in advanced robotic workcells that streamline complex high-mix manufacturing processes, ensuring consistent quality and freeing up your workforce to focus on high-value tasks.

Frequent Questions About Automation in High-Mix Architectural Materials Production

Can I automate finishing in my high-mix shop environment?

In the architectural world, we know that the way something looks is essential to meeting the needs of your clients. Our Smart Finishing™️ Robotic Workcell is designed with the high-mix manufacturer in mind. Our integrated vision system and proprietary AI software scans, understands, and automatically programs and operates the robot for whatever part, or batch of parts, is present.

Can I automate welding in my high-mix shop environment?

Yes you can! Our Smart Welding Robotic Workcell is designed with the high-mix manufacturer in mind and supports a variety of welding processes and welding power sources. Our integrated vision system and proprietary AI software scans, understands, and automatically programs and operates the robot for whatever part, or batch of parts, is present.

What is the accuracy of your Argus OS-powered robotic workcells?

Our Argus OS-powered solutions support a variety of hardware configurations to meet the precision and throughput needs of your application. Our AI-powered scanning technology can achieve sub-millimeter accuracy, while force control for our finishing solutions can achieve resolutions under 1 N (0.225 lbf). That's much more accurate than a human operator can discern, and more consistent from the beginning to the end of a shift.

What are the benefits of advanced robots in architectural fabrication?

When performed manually, common fabrication operations can be hazardous to employee health, especially without the proper personal protective equipment (PPE). This can include long-term effects due to dust inhalation and vibrational impact. Advanced automation and robots protect workers from these hazards while offering more consistent quality, higher production output levels, and more predictable consumables material usage.
